Written for violinist Matthew Vera, this violin solo (version for solo viola available soon) swirls through a series of dances within a dream, loosely inspired by the 1901 Baile de los 41 in Mexico City.

A showpiece theme and variations on the children’s folk song for solo euphonium, showcasing different styles of Mexican music and groups, including mariachi, banda, and the 80s-90s group Timbiriche.

2025—5:00 (solo flute/reconstruction of the Neanderthal bone flute)

Inspired by the Divje Babe flute, an ancient artifact discovered in Slovenian caves, this piece for flute and a reconstruction of the artifact draws its melodic material from music across Slovenia's history as the sounds metaphorically go back in time.

A series of musical “postcards,” brief moments in sound inspired by several places across the island nation, drawing on photographs I took during a trip to visit a friend who was living there at the time.
